We ran into problems with Goose Island Wrigleyville, where the event was originally scheduled to occur. The problem was that they decided to double-book the space starting at 9pm. We negotiated hard but in the end it was better to just find a new one.

The good news is the new venue is significantly better and probably is where we should have planned the event in the first place.

Ignite Chicago will take place on 12/6/07 at 6pm at the Debonair Social Club in Wicker Park (1575 N. Milwaukee Ave). The new space is better for the following reasons:

1. the event doesn’t need to end at 9pm

2. the A/V is better

3. closer to the city and public transportation

The Ignite format has been tried a few times before and having the quick progression from slide to slide ensures the talks do not get bogged down. Since the format is proven, we want to stick with it. Give it a shot - its fun!

Having said that, nobody will kick you off the stage for having 17.
