The good news is the new venue is significantly better and probably is where we should have planned the event in the first place.

Ignite Chicago will take place on 12/6/07 at 6pm at the Debonair Social Club in Wicker Park (1575 N. Milwaukee Ave).  The new space is better for the following reasons:

1. the event doesn’t need to end at 9pm

2.  the A/V is better

3. closer to the city and public transportation

Basically the answer is Yes.

The Ignite format has been tried a few times before and having the quick progression from slide to slide ensures the talks do not get bogged down. Since the format is proven, we want to stick with it. Give it a shot - its fun!

Having said that, nobody will kick you off the stage for having 17.

There are some really excellent videos on Youtube of the Ignite Seattle - check them out for an example of how the talks are done.

 When thinking about a talk to submit, don’t talk about pitching your product. Instead talk about what you learned from making it, what you’ve gleaned from user behavior, what larger trend you think this is a part of, or how someone else product has improved your life.
